More About Me
I received my Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1997. I also received my M.S. in 1995 also from the University of Maryland, and received my B.S. degree in Physics from the Universidad Central de Venezuela.
I was a Research Assistant/Associate at NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center, from 1993 to 1998 where I worked on modeling line-driven accretion disk winds in Cataclysmic Variables. From 1999 to 2001, I was a Research Associate in Computational Physics at the Universidad de Los Andes - Venezuela where I worked on several research projects varying from computational astrophysics to atmospheric simulations. From 2001 to 2005 I worked as a Research Associate in Computational Astrophysics at the University of Pittsburgh where I developed line-driven disk wind models of quasars (QSOs). From 2005 to 2007 I worked as a Computational Physicist at Prism Computational Sciences, Inc at Madison, WI. At Prism I developed several plasma simulation codes for National Laboratories.
Currently, I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Geology at UTPA. I have many publications in refereed journals as well as many presentation at national and international conferences.
